PSAC Women's Basketball Athletes of the Week - 15 Monday, March 4, 2019 10:30 AM WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EASTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Rylee Derr Kutztown (So. / G) Lititz, Pa. / Warwick Derr averaged 19.5 points per game in a 2-0 week last week. She scored a game-high 24 points, going 7-for-11 from the field overall, 4-for-6 from three and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line, while also adding seven rebounds in a win at East Stroudsburg. Derr then tallied 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in a victory over Lock Haven to lead Kutztown to a share of the PSAC East title. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL EASTERN DIVISION FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK Lauren Pettis Shippensburg (Fr. / F) Harrisburg, Pa. / Susquehanna Township Pettis averaged 11.0 and 9.0 rebounds on the week for the Raiders Against West Chester, Pettis scored 18 points, one short of her career high, on 7-of-9 shooting, to go along with nine rebounds (six offensive). She scored four points and had nine rebounds, and equaled a career high with three blocks at Bloomsburg. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WESTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Megan Marecic Seton Hill (Gr. / G) Bethel Park, Pa. / Drexel Marecic led the Griffins to a pair of wins over top 20 teams this past week. She scored a career-high 30 points and added 14 rebounds in the win over No. 17 Cal. The graduate student poured in 22 points and 13 rebounds in the upset win over No. 8 IUP. She averaged 25.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in the pair of games. She also added five assists, four steals and a block. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WESTERN DIVISION FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK Tori Obenrader Gannon (Fr. / G/F) Fryburg, Pa. / North Clarion Obenrader averaged 11 points and 8.5 rebounds on 47.3% shooting from the floor. The freshman scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 50-48 road win over Clarion (2/17/19) and followed it up with a team-high 13 points and nine rebounds on Saturday afternoon against Slippery Rock (3/2/19). She has snagged over 200 rebounds this season.
