MANSFIELD, Pa. --- East Stroudsburg's Rachael Davalos and Seton Hill's Caitlyn Padgett have been named the PSAC Women’s Track & Field Champion Scholars, the league announced Saturday morning in Mansfield, Pa.

This marks the third time in PSAC history, all sports included, that the award was distributed to two individuals (2011, volleyball; 2018, women's soccer).

The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's 23 team championship finals. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.

Davalos is a product of Stroudsburg, Pa. and Pocono Mountain East while Padgett hails from Carlisle, Pa. and Carlisle. Both have amassed 77 credits toward their respective excercise science and elementary/special education degrees while boasting spotless 4.0 grade point averages.
