PSAC Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week - 8 Tuesday, January 7, 2020 2:30 PM MEN'S BASKETBALL EASTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Jake Biss Shippensburg (Jr. / G) Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe Biss averaged 17.0 PPG, 7.5 APG and 5.0 RPG as the Raiders defeated Millersville and Mansfield in a pair of home games. His signature performance came against the Mounties; he scored 17 points, equaled a career high with five three-pointers, set a new career high with 11 assists and did not commit a turnover in 29 minutes for his first career double-double. In a win over Millersville, Biss scored 17 points in addition to four assists and three rebounds. He has reached double figures eight times this season. MEN'S BASKETBALL EASTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Mike Millsip East Stroudsburg (So. / F/G) Philadelphia, Pa. / Neumann-Goretti Millsip helped power East Stroudsburg to a 71-63 victory at Kutztown on Friday, as the Warriors recorded extended their win streak to five straight. The redshirt sophomore grabbed seven rebounds, including five on the defensive glass, and added three steals and one block in the win. Millsip followed it up with his first career double-double yesterday, finishing with 10 pts and a career high 10 rebounds to go along with two steals at Millersville. MEN'S BASKETBALL WESTERN DIVISION CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Fred Mulbah Pitt-Johnstown (So. / G) Manchester, Pa. / Northeastern Mulbah averaged 11.5 points, 5,5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 2 steals in two Pitt-Johnstown wins. The sophomore produced a team-high 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals in 77-57 win at Cal U on Friday. He scored points, 6 rebounds, game-high 10 assists, 1 block, 1 steal in 82-81 home win over Gannon on Monday. MEN'S BASKETBALL WESTERN DIVISION CO-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK DeAnte Cisero Gannon (Sr. / F) Chicago, Ill. / Montgomery County Cisero has helped Gannon win three of its last four games and averaged a team-high 21.5 points with 6.5 rebounds per game. He also added three steals and one assist to his stat line. Cisero recorded his second double-double of the season matching a career-high 27 points with a season-best 11 rebounds against Edinboro. He connected on a career-high 12 field goals on 17 attempts against the Fighting Scots. Cisero has reached double digits in scoring in his last four games and seven total times this season. MEN'S BASKETBALL WESTERN DIVISION DEFENSIVE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Chucky Humphries IUP (Sr. / F) Aliquippa, Pa. / Aliquippa Humphries averaged 9.0 rebounds, blocked six shots and had four steals as the ninth-ranked Crimson Hawks opened 2020 with a pair of wins over Lock Haven and Mercyhurst. Humphries had a career-high four blocks against Lock Haven, all in the span of 1:19 late in the second half. Two of those blocks, 15 seconds apart, came on fast breaks after Lock Haven steals as he swatted away layups from behind to keep the Bald Eagles from reaching the cylinder. Humphries led IUP with three steals in Monday's win over Mercyhurst, his last leading to a monster dunk by Armoni Foster and capping a 6-0 run that erased the Lakers' momentum and gave IUP a 13-point lead late in the game.
