Slippery Rock Wins 6th PSAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Title

FINAL RESULTS
EDINBORO, Pa. --- Slippery Rock won the 2020 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship following two days of action at the Mike Zaforovski Dome in Edinboro, Pa.
The Rock won their sixth title in program history and first since 2016. Slippery Rock accumulated 99.5 points while West Chester finished second with 80.
Edinboro (76), Cal U (75) and Shippensburg (66.5) rounded out the top five, respectively.
Women's Most Outstanding Track Athlete - Divonne Franklin, Cal U

Cal U sophomore Divonne Franklin was named the Outstanding Track Athlete. Franklin set a meet record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.55 seconds. The Vulcan followed up by setting a PSAC, meet and facility record in the 200-meter dash (24.66). Franklin wrapped up the championship by running a leg in Cal U’s first-place effort in the 4x400 relays (3:59.13).
Women's Most Outstanding Field Athlete - Aliyah Striver, Millersville

Millersville junior Aliyah Striver claimed the Outstanding Field Athlete. She finished atop the standings in the shot put with a heave of 13.54 meters. Striver won the weight throw at 16.54 meters.
Women's Most Valuable Athlete - Caroline Lewis, West Chester

West Chester junior Caroline Lewis was named Most Valuable Athlete after posting an NCAA DII provisional time in the 60-meter hurdles (8.78 seconds). She finished second in the high jump after clearing 1.68 meters and was third in the long jump with a leap of 5.61 meters. The junior won the pentathlon by amassing 3547 points.
The NCAA will announce qualifiers for the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships on Tuesday, March 3.
The NCAA Championships will take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. March 13 – 14.
