To be a candidate for the PSAC Top 10 Awards, a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and must be a starter or key reserve with legitimate athletic credentials for their respective team. The spring sports eligible for consideration for the Spring Top 10 Awards are men’s and women’s tennis, women’s lacrosse, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field.
Due to the cancellation of the spring seasons and championships, there were modifications to the nomination process for the Spring Top 10 and can be seen below:
Anyone who was already
SELECTED as a
2019-20 Fall OR Winter Top 10 recipient was
NOT be eligible for the 2020 Spring Top 10. If they were nominated this year but didn't win, they were eligible to be nominated this spring. That was the only outside-the-normal restriction.
Strong academic achievement still applied ---
BUT AS A GUIDELINE --- the PSAC asked that the SIDs looked at those who had strong supporting evidence from an athletic standpoint last year without as much concern to their 2020 season starts.
At the conclusion of the academic year, all Top 10 Award winners from each season are eligible for the PSAC Pete Nevins Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards, given to one male and one female candidate. The Pete Nevins Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards will be announced Tuesday, June 23.
