West Chester and Shippensburg set for NCAA DII Field Hockey Championship Final

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. --- The West Chester Golden Rams and the Shippensburg Raiders will advance to the NCAA DII Field Hockey Championship Match Sunday, from Millersville, Pennsylvania. 

Following a 3-0 victory over Assumption for the Golden Rams, West Chester will play for its second National Title in three years, having previously won the championship in 2019. West Chester field hockey is the PSAC's last NCAA Team National Champion. 

As for Shippensburg, the Raiders found themselves down 1-0, and nearly 2-0 after the first two quarters. One of the goals was disallowed, but the Raiders eventually answered back with a goal to tie in the third quarter, and one in the final minutes of the fourth quarter to secure the 2-1 victory over East Stroudsburg. 

SHIP and WCU will play for the NCAA DII Field Hockey Title Sunday 1 p.m. from Millersville, Pennsylvania. 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The West Chester Golden Rams and the East Stroudsburg Warriors will advance to the NCAA Division II Field Hockey tournament. 

No. 3 West Chester defeated no. 6 Adelphi 4-1, and no. 4 East Stroudsburg defeated no. 5 Bentley 2-1. 

The Golden Rams will face no. 2 Assumption in the semifinals on November 19 at 2 p.m. in Millersville, Pa. East Stroudsburg will play no. 1 Shippensburg in the second semifinal game at 5 p.m. 
INDIANAPOLIS --- The Shippensburg University Raiders, West Chester University Golden Rams and East Stroudsburg University Warriors will prepare for the NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship Tournament beginning this Saturday, November 13.
 
The Raiders earned the No. 1 seed in the Atlantic Region and the No. 1 seed overall in the championships as the field was announced Monday afternoon.
 
As the top seed, Shippensburg (18-0) earned a first-round bye and an automatic bid into the NCAA Semifinals. The Raiders will await the winner of the NCAA Quarterfinal matchup between No. 4 East Stroudsburg (15-4) and No. 5 Bentley (15-4). That game will be played Saturday at East Stroudsburg.
 
Assumption (20-1) earned the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye into the NCAA Semifinals. They await the winner of No. 3 West Chester (15-4) and No. 6 Adelphi (14-5). That game will be played Saturday at West Chester.
 
Both West Chester and East Stroudsburg will host their quarterfinal matches on November 13. The Warriors will play Bentley at 1 p.m. on Whitenight Field at ESU and West Chester will host Adelphi on Vonnie Gros Field at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
