PSAC Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week – 4

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s basketball athletes of the week this week. From the PSAC East, Dymir Montague of Lock Haven and Lakeem McAliley of East Stroudsburg were picked. In the West, Armoni Foster of IUP and John Paul Kromka of Pitt-Johnstown were selected.

Montague led the Bald Eagles in scoring with 41 points in the past two games, including 22 points in their overtime-win against Edinboro. The guard shot 58% (14-24) from the field, while also knocking down half of his shots beyond the arc (6-12). Montague dished out eight assists and grabbed 12 rebounds over the two games while leading Lock Haven with three steals. In the overtime win against Edinboro, Montague led The Haven with 22 points and he also grabbed four rebounds and grabbed two steals.

Shot 50 percent from the floor, averaging 17 points per game. Registered 16 points, seven blocks, two steals, and seven rebounds against Seton Hill and scored 18 points, grabbed five boards and posted four steals in win over Cal U. He totaled seven blocks on the week and six steals.

Armoni Foster averaged 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in IUP’s PSAC-opening wins at Kutztown and West Chester this weekend. Foster opened his weekend by passing the 1,000-point milestone during IUP’s 86-73 win over Kutztown. He did it in just his 72nd career game. It was also the guard’s third double-double - 18 points, 10 rebounds - in just his sixth game. Foster followed that by tying his career-high with 33 points in the 103-81 win at West Chester. He was unguardable in the second half, scoring 28 points in 19 minutes, going 9-of-13 from the field and 9-of-10 from the foul line. Foster's second half domination started from the jump, as he scored nine of IUP's first 11 points as the Hawks' lead extended past 20. He later scored 10 of IUP's 13 points over a 3:23 span and finished the game with seven straight points.

Averaged 17.7 points, 8.3 rebounds (6.7 defensive rebounds) and 1.3 blocks in three games. Had 22 points, 7 defensive rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal in 104-84 loss at Malone on Tuesday, followed that with a 19 point, 13 rebounds (13 def. Rebs.), 1 assist, 2 steals in 78-70 win at West Chester on Friday. He concluded the week with 12 points, 5 rebounds (3 def. rebs.), 2 blocks in 83-51 win at Millersville on Saturday.
