BASEBALL EASTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Luke Trainer - Millersville

In his first game of 2021, Luke hit for the cycle against Clarion-finishing 4-for-5 with three runs scored and 8 RBIs (courtesy of a grand slam!) In the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, Luke went 2-for-2 with two more runs scored, one more RBI, and a walk to cap-off an incredible season-opening performance.
BASEBALL EASTERN DIVISION PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jeff Taylor - Millersville

Taylor was the most efficient of Millersville's pitching staff on opening weekend. He tossed three scoreless innings to get the win, did not allow a hit, and struck out three batters after just 37 pitches.
BASEBALL WESTERN DIVISION ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Colin Cain - Slippery Rock

Slippery Rock University first baseman Colin Cain guided The Rock to a pair of wins over West Virginia State this weekend. Cain, a former All-PSAC West selection who was appearing in his first collegiate games in 670 days after being forced to miss all of the 2020 season due to injury, picked up right where he left off from his freshman season in 2019. In two games against the Yellow Jackets, Cain hit .571 (4-for-7) with four runs scored, one home run and four RBI while slugging 1.429 and posting a .625 on-base percentage. All four of Cain’s hits were of the extra base variety as he belted three doubles in addition to his home run.

Pitched No-hitter in Pitt-Johnstown's season-opening game against West Liberty on Saturday. Pitt-Johnstown won 1-0. Heid pitched 7 innings, didn't allow a run or a hit, struck out 13, walked three and hit one. He faced 24 hitters and needed 93 pitches to finish the no-hitter.
