PSAC BASEBALL ATHLETES OF THE WEEK - 8

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference office this week’s baseball athletes of the week. From the East, West Chester University's Zack Wright and Andrew Cantwell were honored, while in the West, Isaiah DiAndreth of Seton Hill University and Dylan Heid of Pitt-Johnstown University were selected.

Zack Wright – West Chester

Zack Wright went 13-for-26 (.500) with 12 runs scored and 12 RBI leading West Chester to a 5-1 week. He hit three doubles, two triples and two home runs while also stealing four bases in as many attempts. In the first game of a four-game series against Kutztown, Wright went 4-for-4 with with four runs scored and three RBI, including two doubles and one home run. In the doubleheader, he went 7-for-9 with six runs and six RBI's. He had multiple hits in four of the Golden Rams' six games last week. In four games against Kutztown, Wright had 10 hits and 10 RBI's

Andrew Cantwell – West Chester

Andrew Cantwell went 2-0 last week in two appearances with a 1.04 earned run average. He surrendered just one run on six hits in 8.2 innings of work last week while striking out 11 batters. He pitched a complete game in an 18-1 win over Kutztown on Saturday. He struck out eight batters in that victory. He also pitched 1.2 innings in relief at East Stroudsburg, but earned the victory in the second game of the doubleheader.

Isaiah DiAndreth – Seton Hill

DiAndreth led the Griffin offense during a 5-1 week. He was 8-for-14 (.571) at the plate with 3 homers and 13 RBI's. He also scored 4 runs. DiAndreth had a .579 OBP and a 1.214 slugging percentage. He went 3-for-3 with 5 RBI's in game two vs Clarion. He also drove in 6 runs and had 2 HR in the four-game set with Mercyhurst.

Dylan Heid – Pitt-Johnstown

Dylan Heid continued his dominance this season pitching complete-game shutout in Pitt-Johnstown's PSAC Opener against Slippery Rock at Johnstown's Sargent' Stadium at the Point. Heid struck out a career-high 15 and didn't allow a walk. He scattered six hits, 5 singles and 1 double and is now a 5-time PSAC West Pitcher of the Week in 2021.
