SETON HILL -- Thus far in 2021, the Seton Hill defense is tops in the PSAC in points allowed per game at 10.5. Jaylen McDuff is fifth in the league in total tackles tallying 21 while also posting a 0.5 sack. 

KUTZTOWN -- The Golden Bears almost game out of Indiana No. 15 IUP with an upset road win, but fell due to a late pick-6 giving the Crimson Hawks a lead en route to the victory. Prior to the loss, Kutztown was riding a 14-game road win streak.

MILLERSVILLE -- Isaiah Onuschak made 16 tackles including the one that sealed the victory over Clarion on fourth-and-10 with 51 seconds left to play. Along with Onuschak, a key performer in the contest was Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week Zach Banta, who tallied six punts for 256 total yards, an average of 42.7 yards per punt and a long of 61 yards.

CAL U -- Cal U’s JaQuae Jackson was big part of the 59-0 victory over Lock Haven earning PSAC West Athlete of the Week following a pair of receiving touchdowns and 219 receiving yards setting a career high. For Cal, he’s the first receiver with 200-plus receiving yards in a contest since Tom Greene in 2017 where he totaled 202. 

SHIPPENSBURG -- Shippensburg is off to a 2-0 start once again. It’s its second 2-0 start since 2018 after extending its winning streak over Edinboro to four straight victories, including its last one on the road.

CLARION -- Clarion is off to a tough 0-2 start to the season following a loss to Millersville on Saturday. It’s the first time Clarion has started a season 0-2 since 2011.

MERCYHURST -- The problem for Hurst in the first two weeks has been the offense as they rank last in the PSAC in yards per game with 74.0 and 14th in the league in points per game at 14.0. 

EAST STROUDSBURG -- The ESU defense has done well holding opponents to 18.0 points per contest despite surrendering an average of 368 yards per game. Deshawn McCarthy is leading the PSAC in tackles for loss with 6.5 and sacks at 4.5. Against the Lakers, the Warriors are 1-3 dating back to 2012.

GANNON -- Despite the loss, the Kory Curtis-Sam East quarterback-to-wide receiver connection remained strong. Curtis threw three touchdown passes. The transfer from Ohio State and Bryant completed 21-of-36 passes for 252 yards with 3 TDs against Shepherd. Curtis and East combined on a 17-yard scoring pass, the third touchdown for the pair in two games. 

BLOOMSBURG -- The Huskies are second-to-last in scoring offense averaging 10.0 points per contest and 14th in the league in offensive yards per game at 250.5. 

SHEPHERD --  The Rams are 2-0 for the first time since 2017 and are leading the league in scoring averaging 45.5 points per contest. They’re also tops in total offense averagin 354.5 yards a contest and have the most offensive touchdowns (9). Bagent has 709 passing yards and a completion percentage of 74.3. 

IUP -- The Crimson Hawks have now won seven consecutive season openers after knocking off Kutztown at home on Saturday.

EDINBORO -- The Fighting Scots have only played one game so far in the early 2021 campaign after their meeting at Grand Valley St. was canceled. 

WEST CHESTER -- West Chester will get its home schedule started against Boro, which is a good thing since WCU has not lost a home opener since 2016. 

LOCK HAVEN -- Lock Haven is 12-46-1 against SRU all-time and are 0-33-1 in the last 34 meetings. The last win for the Eagles was back in 1980.

SLIPPERY ROCK -- SRU has been nearly impossible to beat at home in night games over the last decade, posting a 25-1 record since 2010 and winning its last 17 straight home night games.
