PSAC Football Athletes of the Week – 3
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference office announced this week’s football athletes of the week. From the PSAC East, Shippensburg University’s Brycen Mussina and Shepherd University’s Tyson Bagent were Co-Offensive Athletes of the Week, while West Chester University’s Jackson Taylor was defensive athlete of the week and Jaco Sattamini of Bloomsburg University was special teams athlete of the week. In the West, Clarion University’s Quinn Zinoble earned the offensive honor, California University of Pennsylvania’s Noah Dillow and Anthony Beitko were defensive and special teams honorees for the week.

Bagent continued his stellar start to 2021 when he led the Rams to a big-time top-25 victory over No. 14 IUP. He threw for a season-high 468 yards and had four touchdowns on his way to the 37-21 victory over the Crimson Hawks.

In a 62-33 win at Clarion, Mussina finished the day 23-of-37 for 350 yards and equaled a career high with five touchdown passes before being relieved in the fourth quarter. Through three games this season, Mussina has thrown for 713 yards, eight touchdowns and zero interceptions. Shippensburg (3-0) ran 90 plays, its most in a game since 2015, en route to 366 passing yards and 228 rushing yards. SU also totaled 32 first downs, its most in a game since Week 10 of the 2017 season.
Defensive Athlete of the Week

Jackson Taylor finished the game with 13 tackles, including 2.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks. He also was credited with a pass breakup in West Chester's 41-37 win over Edinboro Saturday at Farrell Stadium.
Special Teams Athlete of the Week

Sattamini handled all of the punting duties for the Huskies 31-27 win over Gannon on Saturday. Sattamini posted 300-yards punting and averaged 42.9 yards. He pinned the Golden Knights inside the 20 four different times and had one touchback.

Offensive Athlete of the Week

Quinn Zinobile did something no Golden Eagle receiver had done in nearly a decade on Saturday, going over 200 yards receiving in a game for the first time in his career. The sophomore recorded five catches for 202 yards against Shippensburg - including 80 yards after catch - and two touchdowns. It was the first time a Clarion player recorded more than 200 receiving yards in a game since Jon Reid did it in the 2012 season. Zinobile moved into the conference lead in touchdown catches (4) and is second in the PSAC with an average of 117.3 receiving yards per game. He has scored at least one touchdown in each of the first three games.

Dillow helped anchor a defensive unit that recorded a second-straight shutout, as Cal U earned a 30-0 win over Millersville in PSAC Crossover action on Saturday. He tied for the team lead with six tackles and tallied 2.0 TFL and 1.0 sack in the victory. The Vulcans allowed just 81 yards of total offense, including 22 rushing yards, and four first downs against the Marauders. Cal U posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2012 and held an opponent to under 100 yards of total offense since Week 3 of the 2016 season.

Beitko converted all three field-goal attempts (29, 34, 37) and three PAT attempts, plus registered three touchbacks, on Saturday in a 30-0 victory against Millersville in PSAC Crossover play. He stretched the lead to 24-0 with a 29-yard field goal in the final minute of the first half. Beitko later posted a 34-yard field goal in the opening minute of the fourth quarter and set a season long with a 37-yard field goal midway through the quarter. The McKeesport product averaged 63.7 yards on six kickoffs to force the Marauders into an average starting field position of their 26-yard line.
