PSAC Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week – 10

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selected the men’s basketball athletes of the week Monday. From the East, Shippensburg’s Rashon Johnson and Caden Najdawi of Millersville were picked, and in the West, Fred Mulbah of Pitt-Johnstown and Armoni Foster of IUP were selected.

In a 2-1 week for the Raiders, Johnson averaged 23.7 PPG, 8.7 RPG and 2.6 steals per game. Johnson was 50 percent from the field (26-52) and 58 percent (7-12) from 3-point range. He started all three games this week -- his first three starts of the season after serving as the team's sixth man through the first 16 games. In a Saturday road win at East Stroudsburg, Johnson scored 16 of his game-high 27 points in the first half. Johnson's 27 points marked his third straight game of 20 or more points. It was his sixth 20-point game of the season and the 10th of his career. He finished with five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block – shooting 11-of-21 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. In a Wednesday home win over Bloomsburg, Johnson scored 24 points and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season and the 10th of his career. Johnson also had a career-high six steals (five in the first half), the most by a Raider in a single game since Tony Ellis had seven at Pitt-Johnstown on Jan. 6, 2016. He was 8-of-16 from the field and added two blocks and an assist. In a Monday road loss at Kutztown, Johnson put up a game-high 20 points and shot 7-of-15 from the field, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, and added six rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal.

Caden Najdawi helped Millersville to a 3-0 record on the week, extending the team's PSAC winning streak to seven--its longest since 2002-03. Najdawi blocked nine shots, including a season-high four against Slippery Rock. He also grabbed 28 rebounds with 12 coming in a double-double against Slippery Rock.

Mulbah averaged 18.7 points per game shooting 51% (22-of-43) from the floor while also dishing out 6.33 assists per game. Mulbah had game-highs of 22 points, 6 steals, and 7 assists in 70-68 win over #4 IUP. He added 17 points, 4 assists and 2 rebounds in loss to #21 Mercyhurst, but closed out the week with a 17-point, 8 assists game in a win over Gannon.

Armoni Foster had nine steals, one block, and averaged 3.0 defensive rebounds per game in three outings last week. His biggest defensive performance came in Saturday's 60-51 win over No. 21 Mercyhurst, tallying four steals while helping to lock down Lakers leading scorer Miykah McIntosh, who shot 0-12 from the field and totaled just two points. Foster's four steals against the Lakers tied a career-high.
