QUICK HITS, WEEK 10
• WCU - West Chester blew Lock Haven last weekend 58-10 to improve their season mark to 5-4. West Chester is 30-11 in the all-time series with next week’s opponent, Kutztown, though in the last 10 matchups they are 6-4.
• KUTZ - Kutztown fended off a late comeback effort by Millersville in Week 9 to win 20-13. Kutztown will hope to extend their season winning streak to six games against West Chester. They will also have the chance to avenge a home loss from the last time the Golden Rams visited in 2018.
• GANN - Gannon has made their debut in the NCAA DII Super Region 1 rankings at No. 7 after completing one of the biggest wins in program history, defeating IUP 43-36. Gannon will need a win in California (Pa.) to remain in the hunt for the Western Division Championship. They will look to snap a two-game skid to the Vulcans.
• CAL - California (Pa.) cruised past Mercyhurst 44-20 in Week 9. The Vulcans will next face a Gannon team that needs a win to stay in the running for a PSAC West championship. Cal has history on their side as they are 11-1 all-time over the Golden Knights.
• BORO - Edinboro fell at home to Seton Hill by a good margin in Week 9. Edinboro is 2-8 in their last 10 meetings with Slippery Rock. Their last win took place at home in 2017, but they have since dropped three consecutive games.
• SRU - No. 10 Slippery Rock extended its shutout streak against Clarion to 10 full quarters with a 31-0 win on the road last week. Slippery Rock owns a 59-28-7 advantage in the all-time series that dates all the way back to 1913 when Slippery Rock posted a 101-0 win (the largest recorded margin of victory in SRU football history). The Rock have won each of the last three meetings and nine of the last 11 games.
• SHIP - A second half comeback attempt fell just short for Shippensburg in Week 9 as they lost by a single possession. Beginning in 1929, Shippensburg is historically 56-18-3 over Lock Haven. The Raiders have not dropped a game to the Bald Eagles since 2022.
• LHU - Lock Haven is still without a conference win after a 58-10 loss to West Chester last weekend. The Bald Eagles will work to break a 17-game losing streak as they host Shippensburg for the first time since 2018.
• SHEP - Shepherd rolling through Week 9 with another strong victory against Bloomsburg. Currently on track to become the Eastern Division Champion, the Rams hit the road to East Stroudsburg in Week 10. Shepherd has a 5-3 all-time series advantage over the Warriors, and have won both of their meetings since joining the conference.
• ESU - Last weekend saw East Stroudsburg earn their first win over Shippensburg since 2014 by a seven-point margin. Now tied for third in the PSAC East, the Warriors will look their first defeat of the Rams since 2003.
• VILLE - Millersville pulled within a possession, but ultimately came up empty-handed on the final drive versus Kutztown last weekend to fall to 3-6. In recent history with Bloomsburg, Millersville is without a win in their last 10 meetings. They will be searching for their first defeat of the Huskies since the 90’s.
• BLOOM - Bloomsburg could not gain any ground over Shepherd in Week 9, and have consequently moved to 3-5 for the year. In a long history will Millersville, Bloomsburg leads the all-time series record 48-30-5. The Huskies will want to keep an impressive 21-game winning streak against the Marauders alive.
• CLAR - Clarion was shutout by nationally-ranked Slippery Rock last weekend. Clarion is at 14-39-1 disadvantage in the head-to-head with IUP, and are on a 10-game losing streak since 2011.
• IUP - IUP has dropped to 17th in the AFCA DII Coaches poll after being handed their first loss of the season by Gannon in a score of 43-36. IUP can win the PSAC West with a victory against Clarion next week and a Slippery Rock win against Edinboro.
• HURST - Mercyhurst was prevented from their first home win of the season by Cal (Pa.) in Week 9 by a final of 44-20. Mercyhurst is locked at 4-4 with Seton Hill in the all-time head-to-head, but have not pulled out a win since 2017.
• SHU - Seton Hill closed out their season on the road in Edinboro with a 45-14 success powered largely by an unanswered, second-half 31-point surge. Seton Hill has the three most recent victories over Mercyhurst including a close 19-17 win at home in 2021.

Headquartered in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference comprised of 18 institutions in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The member institutions are Bloomsburg, California (Pa.), Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Gannon, Indiana (Pa.), Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Mercyhurst, Millersville, Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill, Shepherd, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock and West Chester.
