PSAC Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week – 4

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s basketball athletes of the week. From the East, West Chester’s Kyle McGee and East Stroudsburg’s Lakeem McAliley were honored, while in the West, Dave Morris of IUP and Ajayi Pipeloluwa were selected.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s basketball athletes of the week. From the East, West Chester’s Kyle McGee and East Stroudsburg’s Lakeem McAliley were honored, while in the West, Dave Morris of IUP and were selected.

Kyle McGee turned in a great performance on Thursday night in a non-league win over Holy Family. McGee finished with 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting which was second best on the team while leading the team in assists (7) and steals (3) to go along with six rebounds (which was third best on the team) and a block in the non-league triumph.

McAliley continued his solid start to 2022-23 helping ESU to a pair of wins as they remained undefeated. He averaged 7.5 rebounds for the week while also totaling 8 steals in two games. Although he wins for defensive athlete of the week, the Philadelphia native averaged 20.0 points in the two games.

Morris and the Crimson Hawks played a non-NCAA game last week, but that just allowed Morris to go off in the point totals in 37 minutes. He tallied 31 points against PSU-Allegheny shooting 63% from the field while also tallying four steals and four rebounds.

Ajayi tied a career-high in blocks as Mercyhurst defeated D’Youville, 89-54, Wednesday. He registered five blocks in just 24 minutes played while also not recording a foul in the contest. The sophomore also recorded one steal and five defensive rebounds.
