PSAC Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week – 12
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced this week’s men’s basketball athletes of the week. Jaden Faulkner of Millersville and Carlos Pepin of East Stroudsburg were honorees in the East and Gerald Jarmon of Clarion and John Paul Kromka of Pitt-Johnstown were picked.

Jaden Faulkner helped Millersville extend its winning streak to 12 with wins over Kutztown and Mansfield. He shot 16-of-26 from the field and made 14-of-17 free throws to go with 24.0 points and 9.0 assists per game. In the overtime win at Mansfield, Faulkner tallied a double-double of a season-high 33 points and 13 assists. He also had two steals in the game, shot 11-of-17 from the field, 9-of-11 from the line and 2-of-3 from three.

Pepin helped ESU to a pair of wins by really complimenting the defensive side of things. He tallied three blocks and a steal in ESU’s win over Kutztown, and finished the week with a four-steal, one-block performance in a win over Bloomsburg. He also totaled 11 rebounds in the week with eight being defensive.

Jarmon authored one of the great offensive performances in the PSAC this season, and one of the best in Clarion history, as part of a three-day torrid scoring stretch last week. Jarmon scored 51 points against Edinboro on Feb. 7, the second-highest single-game total in Clarion history. It trailed just a 56-point effort by Kwame Morton Sr. against Slippery Rock, set in 1994. He made a program-record 19 field goals. Jarmon scored the final 20 points of the game, also second all-time in Clarion history. He went on to score the next five of the following game against the Fighting Scots. All told Jarmon went 33-of-69 for the week, averaging 28.3 points per game.

Kromka helped UPJ to a 2-1 week with some stellar overall stats including eight blocks and three steals, while also totaling 23 rebounds. He had four blocks and two steals in a loss against Gannon, and followed that up with two blocks and a steal in a win over SRU. He concluded the week with two blocks in a win over Clarion.
