PSAC Women’s Basketball Athletes of the Week – 12
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference office announced this week’s women’s basketball athletes of the week. From the PSAC East, Destiny Jefferson of Shippensburg University was named Athlete of the Week and Abby Beeman of Shepherd University earned the defensive honor. In the PSAC West, Dejah Terrell of California University of Pennsylvania claimed the offensive honor and Molly Wagoner of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown was the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Destiny Jefferson helped Shippensburg to a 2-1 week in PSAC East play. She started the week with 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals in the win over Millersville. Against West Chester, Jefferson collected 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out five assists, and picked up two steals. She totaled 20 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals at Lock Haven.

Abby Beeman recorded a double-double and a season-high in a 1-1 week for Shepherd. In the win over Cal U, she scored 25 points and dished out 13 assists in addition to eight rebounds and a steal. Beeman set a season high with seven steals against Kutztown along with five assists and six rebounds.

Dejah Terrell recorded two double-doubles as Cal U went 2-1 this week. She started off the week with her third 30-point game of the season. In that game against Shepherd, she also collected eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. Terrell scored 19 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out three assists, recorded two steals, and blocked two shots at IUP. In the win over Edinboro, Terrell collected her second double-double of the week with 18 points and 13 rebounds to go with five blocks.

Molly Wagoner helped Pitt-Johnstown to a 2-1 week in PSAC West play. She started off the week with nine rebounds, three steals, and a block against Gannon. In the win over Slippery Rock, Wagoner pulled in five rebounds, grabbed a steal, recorded a block, and dished out three assists. She capped off her week with 11 rebounds, four blocks, and eight points at Clarion.
