Shippensburg Takes 2022 PSAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championship

RESULTS
EDINBORO, Pa.
– The Shippensburg Men’s Indoor Track & Field team took home its 11th consecutive conference championship title at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference meet Sunday at the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome on the campus of Edinboro University.
 
The Raiders recorded four first-place finishes in individual track events and two wins in the field. Shippensburg came in first in the both the Distance Medley Relay and the Men’s 4x400 relay.
 
Drew Dailey won the mile, was a part of two winning relays, and came in second in the 800 meters to earn Men’s Most Valuable Athlete of the Meet. Erik Kirk was named Most Outstanding Track Athlete after winning the 200 meters, running in the 4x400 relay and placing second in the 60-meter dash.
 
After Day 1, Shippensburg sat in the lead with 83 points en route to a total of 210.
 
Slippery Rock was named runner-up with a total of 90 points. Jason Goodman won the heptathlon with the highest score by any PSAC athlete since 2014 and was named Most Outstanding Field Athlete.
