PSAC Softball Athletes of the Week – 6

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference office announced this week’s softball athletes of the week. In the PSAC East, Grace Aguilar of West Chester University was named Athlete of the Week and Katie Zaun of East Stroudsburg University earned the Pitcher of the Week. From the PSAC West, Morgan Ryan of Seton Hill University received Athlete of the Week and Kayla Miehl of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown was the Pitcher of the Week.

Grace Aguilar recorded a .615 batting average and 1.308 slugging percentage for West Chester in four games this week. She collected eight hits, including four doubles, a triple, and a home run. Aguilar drew two walks, scored seven runs, and brought in six runs in 13 at-bats.

Katie Zaun threw six scoreless innings across two wins for East Stroudsburg this week. In the first game against Jefferson, she no-hit Jefferson for three innings and struck out three of the nine batters she faced. Zaun then came in for a three inning save in the second game against Jefferson where she allowed one hit and struck out three more batters.

Morgan Ryan helped Seton Hill to an undefeated week. At the plate, she recorded four singles, a double, a triple, two home runs, and four walks while scoring four times and collecting four RBI. In the circle, Ryan went 3-0 with 23 strikeouts and two runs in 20 innings.

Kayla Meihl threw a complete game shutout in her first start of the season for Pitt-Johnstown. Against IUP, she allowed three hits and one walk while striking out three. Meihl faced 25 batters and held them to a .125 batting average.
