LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the first set of volleyball athletes of the week for the 2022 season. From the East, Kaylee LoPresto of East Stroudsburg and Emma Ludwig of Millersville were picked, while in the West, Mara Yahner of Seton Hill and Emma Hall of Gannon were selected.

Kaylee LoPresto helped the Warriors to a 2-2 weekend with 3.43 points per set in the 15 she played. LoPresto recorded 46 total kills (3.07 per set) on a .252 attack percentage to go along with 34 digs (2.27 per set). The Litchfield Park, Ariz. native posted a double-double on 10 kills and 10 assists vs. Jefferson as well as matches of 14 kills, 9 digs vs. Caldwell and 16 kills, 9 digs vs. IUP.

Ludwig was an integral part of the Marauders 4-0 start to the season as Millersville recorded a near perfect weekend at the Ram Fest Tournament. The sophomore was second on the team with 49 digs while adding four blocks over her 13 sets of action. She recorded double digit digs in three out of her four matches, reaching 15 digs twice. The setter was also dynamic on the offensive end, totaling 121 assists on the weekend. The 4-0 start for the Marauders is the best win streak to open a season since the team won its first seven matches back in 2017.

Yahner led the Griffins to a 3-1 weekend at the Davis & Elkins Top Hat Classic. She ended the weekend with 37 kills and a .349 hitting percentage. Mara added 14 digs, 7 blocks, 2 assists and 1 ace. She finished with 16 kills and just 3 errors in 31 attempts against Davis & Elkins.
Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week

Lowell, Mich. / Lowell (Mich.) High School
The sophomore libero was the defensive star with 60 total digs good for 6.7 digs per set as Gannon opened the weekend with three consecutive wins by sweep. Hall had 16 digs in a victory over Malone and 17 digs in a win over Notre Dame College. She capped her weekend by making 27 digs, including several spectacular diving saves, in Gannon's sweep of GLIAC preseason favorite Grand Valley State. She also had 7 assists and 5 aces during the weekend.
