LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference selected this week’s field hockey athletes of the week. Agus Garibaldi of Shippensburg University earned offensive honors, and West Chester goalkeeper Megan Gula was chosen for the defensive award.

Agus Garibaldi totaled four goals and three assists in two games played this weekend, with a .666 shooting percentage. She scored her first career hat trick against Newberry, and assisted the first and third goal that resulted in Shippensburg winning 5-2. All four of her shots were on goal. She also scored a goal against Mount Olive, and assisted on the third goal that resulted in Shippensburg winning 4-1. She had two shots on goal.

Megan Gula registered a pair of shutouts over the weekend to lead West Chester to another 2-0 week and a 4-0 start to the season. Gula started her week against Mount Olive, making three saves over the course of her 60 minutes to pick up her first shutout of the season before adding two more saves against No. 10 New Haven on Sunday for her second shutout in as many games.
