Abe Holmes earned his second title in Gannon’s second tournament of the season on Saturday when he won the Mercyhurst Laker Fall Invitational in a playoff while helping Gannon win by 22 shots. Holmes shot 3-under-par 69 in the final round on Saturday to tie teammate Michael Wareham with a two-day total of 3-under-141 at Lake View Country Club. In the playoff, Holmes birdied the par-5 No. 1 hole and parred No. 2 to claim the title. Holmes also placed third in Gannon’s Howard “Bud” Elwell Invitational on Sunday. He shot a 2-under 70 in the first round before the tournament was shortened to 18 holes because of inclement weather.

Sarah White showed why she is the two-time reigning PSAC Women’s Golf Athlete of the Year when she won Gannon’s season-opening tournament. White shot a two-day total of 5-over-par 149 in Mercyhurst’s Evann Parker Memorial to claim a two-shot victory and help Gannon to a 28-stroke win in the team standings. White opened with a 74 on Friday at Lake View Country Club and followed with a 75 on Saturday as she celebrated her 21st birthday.

Tess Jedeloo totaled five goals in a 3-0 week for the Raiders. Jedeloo scored the game-winning goal against Mansfield and Limestone. Against Mansfield, she scored her second goal to give the Raiders the overtime victory. She also scored a game-tying goal against Belmont Abbey to send the Raiders to a penalty stroke-off against Belmont Abbey, following up with another goal in the penalty stroke-off. Jedeloo is tied for first in the league for the most goals, and is also first in game-winning goals with three.

Sarah Gatehouse has been a rock for the Kutztown defense as the center back. She led the defensive unit that allowed just one goal in three games last week, all victories for Kutztown. Kutztown has allowed just 10 shots on goal in six games this season, all wins. In a 4-0 victory at Coker on Saturday, Gatehouse had two assists. She is also a main part of the penalty corner unit.

Ries finished first at the Robert Morris Colonial Invitational with a time of 25:50. He helped the Scots to a second-place overall finish. Edinboro is currently second in the Atlantic Region. Ries won in a field consisting of Division I, II, and III runners.

Anicic was dominant finishing first at the Robert Morris University Colonial Invitational Friday. She finished the race in a time of 22:37, 27 seconds ahead of second place finisher and teammate Kimberly Goerss and a minute ahead of the closest non-Scot.

Sergio Del Castillo notched his first career regular-season hat trick against Wheeling on Saturday night, scoring from a free kick, the penalty spot, and on a brilliantly timed tap-in. He also added an assist on Gannon's fifth goal in the eventual 6-2 victory. Sergio led the team in shots in the match (seven), with five of them on target. For the season, Del Castillo leads the team in goals (six, also second-most in the PSAC), shots (24), and points (14, also second-most in the PSAC.)

Jonathan Gomes put up two shutouts in two wins for Mercyhurst this week. Against Daemen University, he made two saves in a 1-0 victory. Then, versus California (Pa.), he made three saves in a 5-0 win. Gomes currently leads the conference in save percentage and shutouts.

Samuel Hershey was a force for the Lock Haven men's soccer squad as the Bald Eagles tied a tough Bloomsburg team at home and tied in a road contest at Millersville. Lock Haven was able to fend off the two Atlantic region ranked opponents with Bloomsburg ranked fifth and Millersville ranked seventh. The forward scored two goals against their road opponent, shooting perfectly (2-for-2) and scoring one of these goals with five seconds remaining to cement the score and grab a tie off the Marauders. The 2021 PSAC East Rookie of the Year posted three shots against the very tough defense of the Huskies who were 4-1 going into that game. After this week, the sophomore is now currently second in the PSAC in goals (6) and tied for sixth in shots on goal (8).

Brayden Evans posted a shutout in lone action of the week against Shippensburg. He faced seven shots and recorded two saves in the 1-0 win. Evans’ .833 save percentage ranks second in the conference.

Paige Harris played a part on every scoring play for the Huskies this past week as they beat No. 14 Kutztown (W, 1-0) on Wednesday and Lock Haven (W, 2-0) on Saturday. Against Kutztown, Harris sent a ball into the box that led to an assist on Alivia Gallardo's game-winning goal. Then against Lock Haven, Harris scored once and assisted Nicole Varano's goal as the Huskies beat the Bald Eagles 2-0.

This week, Spingler held two more opponents scoreless as the Huskies shutout No. 14 Kutztown on Wednesday and Lock Haven on Saturday. Spingler had three saves in each contest and the two shutout victories extends the team's streak to four straight shutout wins.

Karah Van Horn led Mercyhurst to an undefeated week with six points in two wins over Seton Hill and California (Pa.). Against Seton Hill, Van Horn scored an unassisted goal that proved to be the game-winner in a 3-2 finish. Later on, against California (Pa.), Van Horn scored both goals in the 2-0 victory.

Sachi Negri assisted Pitt-Johnstown in an undefeated week. At Clarion on Wednesday, Negri faced 10 shots and made five saves in 1-0 shutout. Then against Slippery Rock on Saturday, she faced 23 shots, made 10 saves, and only allowed one goal in a 2-1 win.

Hailey Lewis turned in a stellar performance on Tuesday night at Millersville to help West Chester open PSAC East play with a victory over the Marauders. Lewis registered a career-high 19 kills in the victory while also being charged with just two errors en route to an impressive .567 hitting percentage in the four-set victory.

Oyinda Agbale led the team to their conference win against Shepherd, 3-1, with a season-high five blocks, including a block solo. She added 11 kills with a .333 hit percentage, an assist and a dig.

Madde Blake had a huge week all around to help Gannon go 2-0 in PSAC West matches. In a three-set sweep of California, the junior outside hitter led the Golden Knights with 12 kills and a career-high 16 digs and compiled a team-leading 13 points. In a three-set sweep of Pitt-Johnstown, she led Gannon with 14 kills and a season-best .414 hitting percentage while finishing with a team-best 16 points.

Pry held the Scots to a 2-1 record averaging 4.3 digs per set. She also had a pair of service aces on the week. She also posted a receiving percentage of .946.

Bagent completed 33-of-53 passes for 490 yards and three touchdowns. Bagent rallied Shepherd from a 10-point deficit to grab a 26-23 overtime win over California in a crossover battle.

Kutztown redshirt senior cornerback Antaun Lloyd recorded his second career pick six as the Golden Bears earned a 50-31 comeback victory at Mercyhurst Saturday. Lloyd stepped in front of a Michael Lowery pass late in the third quarter and took it 33 yards to the end zone for a 43-24 KU lead. The score capped a huge third quarter for the Bears, who outscored Mercyhurst 26-0 during a run of 33 unanswered second half points. Lloyd also registered four tackles and took his only punt return 49 yards to the Laker 10, setting up a Jordan Davis touchdown run. Lloyd, who has five career interceptions, returned one for a touchdown last October 30, against Millersville.

Devin Bartholomew tied a program record with five field goals (last done in 2007) made in a 22-7 win over Seton Hill. He made 5-of-6 FG attempts, with lone miss coming from 52-yards out ... matched a career-long with a 50-yd strike. The kick was the 10th field goal of at least 50 yards in program history and also made his lone extra-point attempt. Bartholomew accounted for 16 of ESU’s 22 points.

Grover completed 16-of-24 passes for 289 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions and also rushed for 22 yards on five carries to account for 311 total yards of offense while leading No. 11 Slippery Rock to a 45-14 win at Millersville. Grover, who wasn’t sacked a single time for the second time in three games this season, led a methodical offense that possessed the ball for more than 40 minutes and ran twice as many plays (84-42) as Millersville.

In a game where the Golden Eagle defense harassed Lock Haven quarterbacks for four quarters, Robert Lachmann was as disruptive as they come in Clarion's 44-7 win over the Bald Eagles. Lachmann finished with three sacks and two quarterback hurries on Saturday, with the former representing 24 yards of lost yardage. That pushed him over teammate Jake Tarburton for the team lead in sacks, and puts Lachmann at second in the PSAC with four total sacks on the year.

Reed Martin put together quite a good game punting the ball away for the Fighting Scots. He had five punts for 203 yards averaging 40.6 yards a punt, pinning the Huskies inside their 20-yard-line three times. He also booted a pair of touchbacks on kickoffs and averaged 59.8 yards per kick.
