QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 7:

MILLERSVILLE-
Millersville raced to a 10-point halftime lead last Saturday, but visiting Shippensburg out-scored the Marauders 21-3 in the second half for a 35-27, come-from-behind win. 

SHEPHERD- Redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Brett Kwoka led the Rams with 10 tackles (four solos). Senior linebacker Harold O’Neal added eight stops (one solo).

EDINBORO- Isaac Bernard found Evan Low in the back of the endzone with just 8 seconds left.

CLARION- Trevon Tate went over 100 yards receiving for the fourth time in the first six games of the year, catching five passes for 127 yards including a long of 52 yards that set up a Clarion touchdown in the first quarter. 

KUTZTOWN- Kicker/punter Nate Millard was named PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week. 

SHIPPENSBURG- Sophomore wide receiver Karim Brice also had a career day, catching four passes for 101 yards and two scores.

SETON HILL- Senior punter Jack Wagner was named PSAC West Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week.

IUP- On the defense side of the ball, Garret Cox recorded an IUP high of 13 total tackles, Noah Johnston had nine and was part of a tackle for loss, and Isaiah Towler contributed five of his own.

SLIPPERY ROCK- Redshirt freshman LB Teddy Gregory Jr. had 10 tackles last week and has now put together back-to-back games with at least 10 stops. In just his first season of collegiate football, Gregory finds himself leading SRU in total tackles (43) and solo tackles (22).

CALIFORNIA- Cal is scoring 32.0 points per game and putting up 414.0 yards of offense per game with 269.8 passing yards and 144.2 rushing yards per game. 

BLOOMSBURG-  Defensively in last week’s loss to East Stroudsburg, Bloomsburg’s Ryan D’Ambra and Brady Thompson ( led the Huskies with nine tackles each while they had 1.0 TFL (1 yard). Crews had five tackles and Long, Cole Turner and Ryan Woertz had four tackles a piece. Giovanni Cancro had a five-yard sack for the Huskies.

LOCK HAVEN- The Haven defense ranks tied for fifth in the conference in forced fumbles this season with four.

WEST CHESTER- The Golden Rams earned the program’s first-ever win over Shepherd with a 35-14 win last Saturday that included four interceptions, four sacks, and five quarterback hurries by the WCU defense.

E. STROUDSBURG- Behind a stout defense that allowed just 146 yards on 47 plays and an offense that compiled 279 yards rushing the East Stroudsburg University football team recorded its first shutout since 2012 with a dominant 31-0 win over Bloomsburg last Saturday, moving them to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC Eastern Division.
