QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 6:
LOCK HAVEN- Reigning PSAC East Athlete of the Week Jackson Ostrowsky is coming off a monster performance in week 5 where he totaled 470 yards on 31-for-50 passing (2 INTs) and four touchdowns, to lead the Bald Eagles to a 35-point second half and narrowly a comeback victory. and currently ranked first in the PSAC and sixth in NCAA DII in passing yards per game (304.6), while his total passing yards (1523) and touchdowns (12) lead the PSAC and rank 18th and ninth in NCAA DII.
KUTZTOWN- The Golden Bears improved to 5-0 on the season with Saturday’s 42-10 win over Bloomsburg and moved up from No. 8 to No. 5 in the latest poll following losses by three of the top seven teams in last week’s poll.
SHEPHERD- Cameron Dorner led the Rams with four receptions for 97 yards.
WEST CHESTER- West Chester (1-4, 1-1 PSAC East) ended a four-game losing streak to open the season and handed first-year head coach Duke Greco his first win as a Golden Ram.
SHIPPENSBURG- Sophomore wide receiver Karim Brice had a solid day with five catches for 46 yards. Ten different Raiders caught at least one pass.
MILLERSVILLE- Millersville has generated four turnovers while committing 10. Shippensburg is even in turnover ratio (7 to 7). The Raiders are particularly adept at recovering fumbles as they’ve forced eight and recovered six.
GANNON- Gannon is scoring 13.0 points per game and averaging 252.4 yards per game with 75.2 rushing yards and 177.2 passing yards per game.
SLIPPERY ROCK- Slippery Rock is one of just 14 Division II teams that remain undefeated entering this week. Five of the 14 teams reside in Super Region One with Slippery Rock and Kutztown (5-0) representing the PSAC.
IUP- Kicker Nick Andrasi contributed eight points, six of which came from field goals.
EDINBORO- They go into this game with a record of 1-4 and 0-1 in the PSAC West.
EAST STROUDSBURG- Cook finished the contest with 111 receiving yards on seven receptions, including touchdown strikes from 33 and 42 yards. He also became the all-time kickoff return touchdown leader in program history with a 99-yard return to wrap up the scoring in the fourth quarter. Cook tallied 220 all-purpose yards in the game and now leads the team in receiving this season, with 13 receptions for 179 yards. For his efforts, he was named PSAC Western Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
BLOOMSBURG- The Huskies for 11-for-22 with two interceptions and 98 yards in the air and had 114 net rushing yards and one rushing TD.
CALIFORNIA (Pa.)- Senior wideout Demonte Martin registered the first 100-yard game of his career, finishing with 189 receiving yards on seven catches with one touchdown.
SETON HILL- Craggette currently leads the PSAC in rushing with 611 yards on 122 attempts for a 5.0 average. He has scored five touchdowns and averages 122.2 yards on the ground per game
