Kutztown's Sarah Gatehouse earns third consecutive PSAC Field Hockey Champion Scholar award

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Kutztown University's Sarah Gatehouse earned the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s Field Hockey Champion Scholar Award, marking the third consecutive year she has won the award. Gatehouse was honored prior to Kutztown's semifinal against East Stroudsburg University on Friday afternoon.

Gatehouse, a graduate student in her fourth year of eligibility, hails from Sinking Spring, Pa. (Wilson High School) and has maintained a 4.0 grade point average through 120 credits in pursuit of a master's degree in business.

The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's finals sites. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
