LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the PSAC Men’s Tennis All-Conference teams and Major Award Winners for the 2023-24 season on Friday afternoon.
Major Award winners include Edinboro’s Gordan Mileusnic as Athlete of the Year, Bloomsburg’s Denis Dementev as Freshman of the Year, and Edinboro’s Travis Myler as Coach of the Year.
All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners are determined by a vote of the league’s head coaches.
Edinboro’s Gordan Mileusnic earns the Athlete of the Year honor after an undefeated run through PSAC opponents and a 19-3 overall record playing out of the No. 2 flight for the Fighting Scots. The freshman also paired with Fabricio Sosa Pons in doubles action and tallied a record of 19-9.
Bloomsburg’s Denis Dementev was selected as the Freshman of the Year and finished the season with a 5-1 record in PSAC play out of the No. 1 position for the Huskies. His overall singles record was 11-7 and his doubles record, partnering primarily with Iu Casamitjana, was 9-5.
Edinboro’s Travis Myler earned the PSAC Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year award after just his first season in charge of the Fighting Scots. His team is currently 16-7 (5-0 PSAC) as Myler and the Scots are still alive in the postseason after guiding the team to a fourth consecutive PSAC Championship and a victory in the NCAA Division II Men’s Tennis Atlantic Regional.
