QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 7:


EDINBORO: The Fighting Scots defeated California for the first time in over 20 years last Saturday with a 35-29 victory.

WEST CHESTER: The Golden Rams are ranked third overall in the PSAC in total defense, allowing just 290.0 yards per game. The team’s passing defense is second-best in the conference at just 139.7 yards through the air allowed per game.

LOCK HAVEN: Defensively, LHU’s Rocco Daugherty turned in a stellar effort, finishing with a game-high eight tackles (seven solo stops) and two tackles-for-loss against No. 4 Kutztown.

IUP: The Crimson Hawks scorching hot offense has scored 35+ points in their last four matchups, Quarterback Matthew Rueve has thrown 15 touchdown passes in that stretch.

SLIPPERY ROCK: JayJay Jordan was named the PSAC West Offensive Athlete of the Week after running for 189 yards and one TD on just 13 carries, averaging 14.5 yards per carry.

SHEPHERD: The Rams scored with 7:09 left in the fourth quarter to earn a 28-24 victory over West Chester last Saturday, as graduate student Michael Hardyway lofted a 20-yard scoring strike to redshirt senior wide receiver Malakai Brown.

BLOOMSBURG: Down 35–14 with just over 10 minutes to play, the Huskies roared back behind quarterback KJ Riley, who threw three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to rally Bloomsburg into a tie with under two minutes remaining on Saturday against East Stroudsburg. 

GANNON: Donell “Tank” Mason returned after missing the previous two weeks due to an injury and enjoyed the sixth 100-yard game of his career in the Golden Knights game against Clarion.

SETON HILL: Against No. 24 Slippery Rock, Ky'Ron Craggette rushed for 112 yards in the contest.  

CLARION: Andrew Kurtas booted a 33-yard field goal with just four seconds remaining in regulation, delivering the Golden Eagles football team a 48-46 road win at Gannon.

CALIFORNIA: The Vulcans set a season high with 305 passing yards while three different players completed a pass on Saturday.

MILLERSVILLE: Despite not being able to slow Shippensburg, Millersville closed to within striking distance in the third quarter. Zeltt connected with Nakhi Bullock for a 77-yard catch-and-run, resulting in Bullock’s first career TD.

KUTZTOWN: The Golden Bears scored on its first four possessions and never looked back in its 17th consecutive triumph over the Bald Eagles.

SHIPPENSBURG: The Raiders racked up 587 yards against Millersville, its most in a game since Sept. 18, 2021 in a 62-33 win at Clarion (594 yards).

EAST STROUDSBURG: Junior kicker Ty Quintois made a game-winning 21-yard field goal on the final play after East Stroudsburg University drove 66 yards in the last two minutes, emerging with a 38-35 victory after recovering from a 21-point fourth-quarter Bloomsburg comeback in PSAC East football on Saturday night.
