LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference released its 2025 PSAC Women's Volleyball All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners on Thursday afternoon.
All-Conference Teams and major award winners are determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches.
For the third straight year, East Stroudsburg's Anna Coulter took home Athlete of the Year in the Eastern Division while Gannon’s Bengisu Arslan earned the honor in the Western Division. Defensive Players of the Year include Shippensburg's Shay Kolivoski for the second consecutive year (East) and Clarion’s Haley Fledderjohann (West), while the Freshmen of the Year honors go to Kutztown’s Madilyn Bogovic in the East and California’s Olivia Weiseman in the West.
The pair of 2025 PSAC Women's Volleyball Coaches of the Year were Shippensburg’s Leanne Piscotty in the East and for the second straight season Gannon's Matt Darling in the West.
WESTERN DIVISION
In the Western Division, Gannon’s Bengisu Arslan earned Athlete of the Year honors after a standout season. The senior setter leads the conference in assists with a total of 1107 and an average of 10.85 per set. Her total assists is 109 more than the second ranked player and the only one to reach the 1,000 mark.
Clarion’s Haley Fledderjohann earned Western Division Defensive Player of the Year honors after tallying the second-most digs (574) in the conference and the most in the West. Fledderjohann was part of Clarion’s defensive effort that held opponents to a hitting percentage of .159.
California’s freshman Olivia Weiseman dialed up 367 kills, the second most in the West, in her debut campaign to earn the Western Division Freshman of the Year Award. She added 26 service aces, 417 digs, and 44 total blocks to her season totals.
Gannon head coach Matt Darling claims his seventh career Coach of the Year honor, second consecutive, after guiding the Golden Knights to a 22-6 overall record and 13-1 in conference play to secure the West's top seed in the 2025 PSAC Women's Volleyball Championship. Gannon led the Western Division in hitting percentage (.248), points (17.36 per set), assists (12.50 per set), and kills (13.38 per set).
EASTERN DIVISION
The Eastern Division Major Awards are headlined by East Stroudsburg's Anna Coulter, who put together another outstanding year and was selected as Athlete of the Year for the third consecutive time. She led the entire conference and all of Division II in blocks with a total of 169. Coulter’s 4.95 points per set is the highest in the conference, while her hitting percentage of .363 is second.
Shippensburg's Shay Kolivoski was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season after totaling 582 digs (4.97 per set) to help the Raiders finish with an East-leading 17.62 digs per set. She also contributed with 41 service aces and 96 assists.
The Eastern Division Freshman of the Year is Kutztown’s Madilyn Bogovic, who pitched in in every statistical category and totaled 361 kills, 26 assists, 43 service aces, 330 digs, and 15 blocks.
Shippensburg head coach Leanne Piscotty is the Eastern Division Coach of the Year after leading the Raiders to 12-2 conference record (19-9 overall), to secure the second seed in the East in the 2025 PSAC Women’s Volleyball Championship. The team leads the East in digs (17.62 per set) while finishing in the top five in the conference in kills (fifth, 12.32 per set) and service aces (fifth, 2.11 per set).
