YORK, Pa. - Lock Haven senior
Sydney Houck earned the 2025 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference’s Women's Swimming Champion Scholar Award, the conference office announced on Thursday prior to the start of the final session of the 2025 PSAC Swimming Championships at Graham Aquatics Center in York, Pa. Houck also was awarded the Champion Scholar award for Women's Swimming at the 2024 PSAC Swimming Championships.
Houck, who hails from Huntingdon, Pa., has maintained a 4.0 grade point average through 111 credits while working toward her concentration in the pre-physician assistant program.
The PSAC Champion Scholar Awards are modeled after the NCAA's Elite 90 award and honor the student-athlete with the top grade point average who is competing at the site of each of the PSAC's finals sites. The selection criteria for the Champion Scholar Awards is identical to that of the NCAA Elite 90 awards, which honor the student-athlete with the top GPA at each of the championship finals sites of the 90 NCAA championships across all three divisions – I, II, and III.
