LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced its Men’s Basketball Athletes of the Week. In the East, Millersville's Drew Stover (Athlete of the Week) and Shippensburg's Denzel Figueroa (Defensive Athlete of the Week) were honored. In the West, the Slippery Rock duo of Jomo Goings (Athlete) and Michael Moore (Defensive) were selected.

Stover led Millersville to a 2-0 week by making 21 of 24 shots, averaging 24.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game. In Saturday's win against Lock Haven, Stover made 15 of 16 shots for a career-high 32 points while also grabbing nine rebounds. He made 6 of 8 shots for 14 points, swatted five shots and handed out four assists in Wednesday's win over Bloomsburg.

Figueroa filled up the stat sheet in the Raiders' victory over Kutztown Feb. 19 on the road, 76-70. The junior had a career high night on the glass, pulling down 15 rebounds (six offensive). He recorded three blocks and a pair of steals. He aided a Raider defense that held the Golden Bears to 8-of-32 shooting (25.0 percent) in the second half. Figueroa also chipped in with nine points on the offensive end. The outing marked the third time in four games in which he blocked three or more shots.

Goings led Slippery Rock to a 2-0 record last week as SRU locked up both a spot in the PSAC Tournament and a home game in the first round of the conference tournament via wins over Clarion (83-72) and IUP (78-71). In two games, Goings averaged 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 87.5 percent at the foul line (14-16). After recording an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double against Clarion, Goings went off for 21 points, six rebounds, five assists. and one steal in The Rock’s win over IUP, which was the program’s first victory in Indiana since 1992.

Moore was a force on the inside as he blocked six shots over two games while averaging 7.0 rebounds a contest. Moore was consistent throughout the week with three blocks, five rebounds and four points against Clarion as well as three blocks, nine rebounds and four points in The Rock’s win over IUP (the first at IUP since 1992).
