LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week. From the East, Bloomsburg's Jake Pacacha and Peter Punchello were selected. In the West, Slippery Rock's Cornelis Dedecker and Gannon's Samuel Alarcon, received the honor.

Dedecker led the Rock to a 1-1 week. The freshman scored his first career goal against Walsh University in the programs first victory against the Cavaliers and tallied two assists in a 3-2 loss at the University of the District of Columbia.

Alarcón made his first start of the 2025 season and earned a clean sheet in Gannon’s 1–0 victory over No. 25 Ashland. Returning to the starting role after missing last season due to injury, the senior goalkeeper was sharp throughout the match, collecting three saves while facing eight total shots.

Pacacha scored two goals in the Huksies' wins over Felician and Seton Hill. He helped Bloomsburg to wins over a pair of sides receiving national recognition in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll (Felician - No. 11, Seton Hill - RV), handing each side their first defeat of the season. Both goals scored were game-winners in the second half. Pacacha found the back of the net for the first time in 2025 at a crucial point, scoring the goal that would put the Huskies up 2-1 over the Golden Eagles in a 2-1 decision. He netted the first goal of the afternoon for the Huskies in a 2-0 win over the Griffins.

Punchello made six saves across two matches to help the Huskies go 2-0 on the week and move to 2-0-2 on the season. He helped Bloomsburg to wins over a pair of sides receiving national recognition in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll (Felician - No. 11, Seton Hill - RV), handing each side their first defeat of the season. Punchello guided the Huskies' defense to its second clean sheet of the season against the Griffins with a 2-0 result. He aided Bloomsburg in avenging a pair of defeats against the Golden Falcons a season ago with a 2-1 victory. He ended a three-match winning streak held by Felician over Bloomsburg, giving the Huskies their first win over the Golden Falcons since 2016. Bloomsburg beat both opponents coming off victories in their previous matches against PSAC East teams. Punchello held a Felician to one goal after the Golden Falcons scored six goals in their two games prior.
