PSAC Swimming Athletes of the Week - 9

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the Men’s and Women’s Swimming Athletes of the Week. Edinboror's Katelyn Reott and Millersville's Abigail Lowman were selected as the Women's Swimming Co-Athlete of the Week while IUP's Trent Powell earned the Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week honor.

In Edinboro's 107.5-92.5 dual victory over Shippensburg, Reott turned in two individual first-place swim and was a memeber of the first place 200-medley relay team. She won the 50-freestyle in a time of 24.33 and the 100-backstroke touching the wall in 1:01.13. She teamed up with Alexis Schrecongost, Lillian Dilts and Izzy Hanek to win the 200-medley relay in 1:49.51.

Lowman delivered a standout performance for Millersville in its meet against Arcadia on January 10, playing a key role in the Marauders’ 140–82 victory. Lowman was dominant in her individual events, sweeping the backstroke races by winning the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.40) and the 50-yard backstroke (27.96), while also capturing first place in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.25. She opened the meet by leading off the Marauder's winning 200-yard medley relay, which touched first in 1:52.30, nearly five seconds ahead of the second-place team. Lowman accounted for three individual wins and was a crucial contributor to a relay victory, accounting for four out of the nine first place finishes for the Marauders.

In IUP's dual meet against Davis & Elkins, Powell delivered a strong performance with two individual and two relay wins. Powell won the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.57 and the 50 butterfly in 24.10. He also contributed to both IUP relay wins in the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
