PSAC Men's Soccer Athlete of the Week - 6

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its sixth set of Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week for the 2026 season. In the East, Millersville's Zander Leik (Athlete of the Week) and Millersville's Nolan McCarty (Defensive Athlete of the Week) were selected. From the West, Gannon's Rafa Hyde (Athlete of the Week) and Gannon's Jensen Peake (Defensive Athlete of the Week) received the honors.

Leik added his fifth goal of the season against Shippensburg last Wednesday, helping the Marauders secure the victory. He has now scored in each of his last two games, bringing his season point total to 15 as Millersville enters the second half of the season.

McCarty has played a key role in leading the Marauders' back line alongside fellow center back Kehmar Green. The sophomore and the Millersville defense limited Shippensburg to just nine shots Wednesday, with only two finding the target. McCarty ranks among the team's top five in minutes played this season and continues to play a full 90 minutes alongside Green in each outing.

Hyde helped lead Gannon to an unbeaten 1-0-1 week, scoring two goals across the Golden Knights' PSAC matches. Hyde started both contests and totaled six shots, scoring on two of his attempts while putting two shots on goal. He found the back of the net against PSAC East foe West Chester as Gannon battled the Golden Rams to a draw.

Peake turned in a strong all-around week for Gannon, helping the Golden Knights post a 1-0-1 record. Peake started both matches and played 169 minutes while contributing one goal and four assists for a team-high six points. He recorded two assists against California (Pa.) and continued to make an impact at both ends of the field throughout the week.
