PSAC Cross Country Athletes of the Week - 1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced it's first pair of Cross Country Athletes of the Week. Slippery Rock's Carissa Flynn was selected as the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, while Slippery Rock's Easton Adamczyk earned the Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor.

Flynn won the individual title and led SRU to a runner-up finish in the team standings at the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro. She finished 21 seconds ahead of the second place finisher after covering the hilly, muddy 5K course at Edinboro in 18:40. It marked her first collegiate XC win.

Adamczyk won the individual title and led Slippery Rock to the team title at the Doug Watts Open hosted by Edinboro last week. It marked his first collegiate victory and first time being the top finisher for SRU. He covered the hilly, muddy 6,000-meter course in 19:50.
