LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Field Hockey Athletes of the Week. West Chester's Anna Finn was selected as Athlete of the Week while Bloomsburg's Molly Bross was recognized as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Finn enjoyed a very memorable first week as a Golden Ram, scoring five of the team's six goals in a pair of wins. Her four-goal effort in the season opener against No. 7 Assumption set, or tied, three school records while her goal on the road at Adelphi proved to be the game-winner in overtime to lift West Chester to a 2-1 victory. West Chester downed Assumption, 4-1, on Friday night. Finn was also part of a defense that only allowed two goals combined in the two wins. Finn's four goals tied the school's Division II record while also serving as the most goals in a debut by any Golden Ram and the most goals in a game by a defensive player.

Bross posted consecutive shutouts to lead No. 8 Bloomsburg to a 2-0 opening weekend on the road. Bross played all 120 minutes in goal and stopped all 13 shots she faced, finishing the weekend with a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals-against average. She made seven saves in a 4-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire before recording six stops in the Huskies’ 2-0 win over Saint Anselm. Bross and the Bloomsburg defense held both opponents scoreless despite facing 25 total shots and 21 penalty corners.
