EDINBORO CAPTURES PSAC VOLLEYBALL CONFERENCE

Edinboro, Pa. -- After finishing the past three years as conference runner-up, the Edinboro University Fighting Scots captured the 1994 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship over Slippery Rock Sunday afternon in straight games, 15-10, 15-3 and 15-6.
The Fighting Scots have now appeared in nine straight PSAC Championship tournaments, winning titles in 1994, 1990 and 1989 while placing second in 1993, 1992, 1991 and 1988.
In both the second and third games, Edinboro jumped out to big leads of 8-2 and went on to post victories.
Statistical leaders for the Fighting Scots were Melanie Skolny (8 kills & 7 digs), Michelle Hualek (8 kills & 7 digs), Sonya Leonard (8 kills), Michelle Ferguson (7 digs) and Rosie Weisenseel (8 digs).
