CALIFORNIA WINS PSAC WOMEN’S TENNIS TITLE
Lancaster, PA – California claimed four singles and one doubles title in capturing the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) women’s tennis championship in Lancaster, PA.
Lisa Thompson, Monica Dinatale, Kim Pepper, and Adele Norcross won at first through fourths singles respectively for California. Thompson and Pepper also captured the first doubles crown. Shippensburg captured three individual championships, including Julie Smith at fifth singles and the tandems of Kim Brandt/Amy Lynch and Tracy Doneker/Julie Smith at second and third singles respectively. Shippensburg tied for second in the team competition with host Kutztown. Kutztown players advanced to four of the nine finals, and freshman Meg Edwards captured the No. 6 singles title.
