Carlin Chesick enters her 21st year at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in 2025 and fifth year as Senior Associate Commissioner. She also serves as the league's Senior Woman Administrator.
Chesick's duties are focused in the area of compliance. She is responsible for compliance support to the conference membership, providing interpretations regarding NCAA and PSAC rules, conducting institutional compliance reviews, and assisting with rules education opportunities. In addition, she is responsible for reviewing and processing hardship and medical waivers.
Her other duties include serving as the liaison with several PSAC constituent groups, including the league's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), Senior Woman Administrators (SWA), and Compliance Coordinators. Additionally, she assists with the conference budget and other business operations, including the NCAA Division II Strategic Priorities Grant, the organization of league meetings for all of its constituent groups, the planning and development of professional development opportunities for the league, and providing administration and support at several PSAC championship events.
She currently represents the PSAC on the NCAA Division II Management Council, which reports directly to the NCAA Division II Executive Board, and is charged with recommending administrative policy and regulations that govern the division. Additionally, Chesick also serves on the NCAA Division II Championships Committee, the primary oversight group responsible for administering policies and procedures surrounding the Division's 25 championships. Previously, she was a member of the NCAA Division II Academic Requirements Committee, the chair of the NCAA Division II Legislation Committee, and also had stints on the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee, the NCAA Woman of the Year Selection Committee and the NLI Advisory Team.
An active member and former co-chair of the NCAA Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association of Compliance Administrators (CCACA) and a member of Women Leaders in Sports (formerly known as NACWAA), Chesick completed the NACWAA/HERS Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2007. In the summer of 2022, she graduated from the Leadership Enhancement Institute, a premier 'level two' leadership development program for women working in sports. This past summer, she attended the the Women Leaders Accelerator Summit, designed for senior-level leaders in sport.
Chesick earned her master's degree in sport administration with a concentration in intercollegiate athletic administration from California University of Pennsylvania in the summer of 2009. In 2003, she completed undergraduate studies in information systems management with a minor in management from St. Francis (Pa.) University.
While at St. Francis, Chesick was one of the top women's basketball players in school history for the Division I Red Flash. Three times she earned All-Northeast Conference honors, including first-team accolades in her final two seasons. Having led St. Francis to three NEC titles and subsequent NCAA Championship Tournaments, she still ranks among the school's top 10 in all-time scoring, rebounding, and field-goals and free-throw percentage.
Chesick is a native of Bloomingdale, Ill. in Northwest suburban Chicago.
