Shippensburg
Redd Douglas
Wide Receiver
Sophomore
Youngstown, Ohio / Chaney (Wooster)

Sophomore Redd Douglas set a single-game school record with 350 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns as the Shippensburg University football team opened the home portion of its 2022 schedule with a 36-17 victory over Seton Hill in non-conference football action at SU Student Association Field at Seth Grove Stadium. Douglas was all over the field for the Raiders – totaling 233 kickoff return yards, 113 receiving yards and four punt return yards en route to his school record. The 233 kickoff return yards are seven short of the single-game record set by Shannon Maura in 2013 against East Stroudsburg. Douglas is the first player in school history to have 200 or more kickoff return yards and 100 or more receiving yards in the same game. He averaged 58.2 yards per return over the course of four returns. Late in the second quarter, Douglas fielded a kickoff two yards deep in his endzone and ran down the sideline almost untouched for a 100-yard kickoff touchdown - his second kickoff return TD in as many weeks. Douglas nearly had a second kickoff return for a touchdown, as he had an 87-yard return late in the third quarter. Douglas broke the previous SU single-game record of Mike Frenette (330 all-purpose yards) set in 2012 against Millersville (190 rushing yards, 39 receiving yards, 103 kickoff return yards).
