In the women's singles bracket, Mercyhurst's Kayla Dean won her semifinal against IUP's Katy Graydon (6-3, 6-2) and will face West Chester's Delaney Tingle in the final, who bested her semifinal opponent (Mercyhurst's Roisin Murphy) in three sets, 7-6, 2-6, 10-7.

Dean and Murphy, the defending women's doubles champions from a season ago, also advanced to the 2023 women's doubles final after an 8-2 victory over the Bloomsburg duo of Alexis Quackenbush and Jennifer McDonald. The pair of Mercyhurst Lakers will face IUP's Graydon and Lydia Vlachou, who advanced past Shepherd's Ximena Bolanos Tellez and Marketa Baladova, 8-3, in the semifinals.

Of note, due to players' commitments to this week's upcoming ITA National Tournament and need to travel, the women's singles and women's doubles final matches will be played at a future time and date that will be determined by the PSAC. As soon as a decision is made, the information will be distributed to the conference's various social media channels as well as on psacsports.org.

DAY ONE

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -
Day one of the 2023 PSAC Men's and Women's Tennis Individual Championships are in the books, with quite a few thrilling matches to begin the three-day event.

In men's singles, two-time defending champion Bruno Sabio from Edinboro dropped his first-round match with Shepherd's Sebastien Sevilla, who eventually advanced to the semifinals. Sevilla is joined by Mercyhurst's Danylo Rekun and Edinboro's Thibault Dorval and Gustavo Martins in the final four.

The women's doubles semifinals feature Mercyhurst's Dean/Murphy versus IUP's Graydon/Lydia Vlachou on one side of the bracket, with Slippery Rock's Del Val Del Toro/Nicole Kempton taking on Deewajee/Ramos in in the other semi.
