QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 9:

EAST STROUDSBURG:
The Warriors are ranked third in the entire PSAC in scoring defense (allowing 20.8 points per game) and total defense (299.6 yards allowed per game).

KUTZTOWN: KU is the only unbeaten team in the PSAC and can wrap up its third straight divisional title and fifth in the last six seasons with a win over ESU.

LOCK HAVEN: LHU quarterback Jackson Ostrowsky was named the PSAC Eastern Division Offensive Athlete of the Week after throwing for 330-plus yards and matching his career high with five touchdown passes in last Saturday’s 35-21 win over Shippensburg.

MILLERSVILLE:  Millersville’s passing offense is fourth-best in the PSAC at 236.1 yards per game.

EDINBORO: Defensive lineman Sunday Ikegwuonu was named the PSAC Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week after totaling 2.5 tackles for loss (2 sacks) and forcing two fumbles, one of which he recovered at Gannon’s 1-yard line.

SETON HILL: Defensively, linebacker Thomas Johnson led the team with nine tackles against Clarion last Saturday.

SHIPPENSBURG: Kal-El Durham, who was making his collegiate debut as a return specialist in the contest, finished the game against Lock Haven with 214 kickoff return yards – 41 more than any other PSAC player in a game this season.

SHEPHERD: Jordan Barnett had a career-high 27 carries for 138 yards for the Rams in their win against East Stroudsburg.

BLOOMSBURG: The Huskies piled up 511 yards of total offense behind a commanding effort from quarterback K.J. Riley, who accounted for four total touchdowns — two passing and two rushing — while the defense recorded three interceptions and five sacks to secure the PSAC East victory against Millersville.

WEST CHESTER: Safety Jamir Reyes led West Chester with 10 tackles, and Connor Noble and Jimmy Wright added nine each against Kutztown.

CALIFORNIA: The Vulcans have scored at least 29 points in five of its last six games despite dropping three of its last four contests.

CLARION: Through eight games, the Golden Eagles rank third in the PSAC West division and fourth overall in the conference with an average of 35.4 points per game.

SLIPPERY ROCK: With back-to-back one-possession losses to Cal (Pa.) and Gannon, Slippery Rock’s NCAA postseason streak is now in serious jeopardy. The Rock will have to win out the rest of the way and could still need help to extend their playoff streak to seven straight years.

GANNON: Damario Moore continues to excel on kickoff returns. The freshman returned five kickoffs for 133 yards, the 13th-highest single-game total, against Edinboro and had one long return called back.

IUP: The Crimson Hawks have won 11 of 16 matchups with Gannon since the series began in 2008, including 6-2 mark at Miller Stadium.
