QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 6:


CLARION: Griffin Buzzell was a standout on defense for the Golden Eagles against Edinboro, registering 11 tackles and one sack. 

GANNON: The Golden Knights rallied for a 28-14 second quarter deficit to upset No. 14/16 Slippery Rock 38-35. The win snapped a 10-game losing streak to The Rock and was the first for Gannon over a ranked opponent since defeating Indiana (Pa.) in 2022.

SLIPPERY ROCK: JayJay Jordan ran for 247 yards and three TD to become the first SRU player to rush for 200+ yards in a game since Wes Hills (207) against Gannon on Nov. 3, 2018. He became the first SRU player with three rushing TD in a game since Khalid Dorsey (3) against IUP on Sept. 30, 2023.

SETON HILL: The Griffins outscored the Vulcans 10-0 in the fourth quarter of action as they rallied to upset the #6 California Vulcans by the score of 16-7.

WEST CHESTER: The second quarter against East Stroudsburg seemed to breathe some air into the Golden Rams as senior quarterback, Cooper Jordan busted off a 52-yard touchdown run and then hit Matthew Iuvara on a 15-yard TD pass that put the home team in front 14-7.

SHEPHERD: Graduate student quarterback Michael Hardyway completed 20-of-29 passes for 332 yards and three touchdowns to lead Shepherd to a 38-23 win over Millersville in PSAC East football action at Millersville on Saturday.

MILLERSVILLE: The Marauder's offense continues to churn up yards, finishing with 171 rushing yards on a season-high 106 from Isaiah Emmanuel, and 292 passing yards with Ryan Zeltt completing 29 of 52. 

SHIPPENSBURG: Defensively against Kutztown, Ely Ghameshlougy totaled nine tackles for the second straight game. One of his stops was an eight-yard tackle-for-loss (TFL).

CALIFORNIA: The Vulcans are ranked in the top six in the conference in scoring offense and defense. The Vulcans’ 28.6 points per game is sixth-most in the PSAC, while its 20.6 points allowed is fifth-best.

EDINBORO: Quarterback Nico Marchitelli finished the day 9-of-18 for 98 yards and a touchdown against IUP. Running back Caron Robinson totaled 11 carries for 61 yards on the ground to lead the Fighting Scots.

KUTZTOWN: The Golden bears held Shippensburg under 100 yards of total offense. This is the first time since a 65-0 win over Cheyney (73 yards) on Nov. 4, 2017 that Kutztown has reached this feat. The Maroon and Gold are allowing just 6.2 points per game and are the only team in DII to rank in the top five in both scoring offense and defense.

LOCK HAVEN: The Bald Eagles defeated Bloomsburg for the third consecutive season, 38-17, and now has beaten the Huskies 42 times in program history. Bloomsburg holds a slim all-time lead between the two institutions, 46-42-2.

BLOOMSBURG: Freshman running back Declan Clancy was the first 100-yard rusher for Bloomsburg in over a year, despite the Huskies’ loss to Lock Haven last Saturday.  

EAST STROUDSBURG: Defensively against West Chester, ESU notched a second-half shutout for the second straight week. The Warriors forced four turnovers and tallied six sacks.
