NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship - Stroke Play - Third Round

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Pa. -
The Gannon Golden Knights wrapped up the 2024-25 season with a 16th place finish at the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship. The team improved in the third round, shooting an eight-over-par, its lowest combined round of the week. GU's Rasmus Seppanen was the team's highest finisher on the individual leaderboard at 11th overall at two-under-par for the tournament.

 

NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship - Stroke Play - Second Round

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Pa. -
The Gannon Golden Knights are in 19th place after the second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship with a team total of 19-over-par. The top spot on the leaderboard belongs to Missouri S&T, who followed up on a one-over in round one with an eight-under day in round two. Round one leaders St. Mary's (TX) were nine-under in round one but carded a total of five-over on Tuesday to finish the day tied for second place.
 

NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship - Stroke Play - First Round

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Pa. -
The Gannon Golden Knights are tied for 13th place after the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship with a team total of nine-over-par. Central Missouri matched the Golden Knights at nine-over, as both teams are 10 strokes out of the top five teams -- and all are chasing St. Mary's (TX), who fired a nine-under-par on Monday. GU's Rasmus Seppanen is tied for seventh place overall with a two-under on the day, while Giovanni Delorenzi is tied for 20th place at even par.
 

ROUND THREE

ERIE, Pa. -
Gannon men's golf program tied for first place with Davis & Elkins at the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Atlantic/East Regional (both with scores of 24-over par) and will advance to the NCAA Championship tournament, to be held on May 23-28. Pitt-Johnstown finished sixth on the leaderboard with a combined score of 54-over, California was seventh at 55-over, and IUP was eighth at 57-over. Millersville was the only other PSAC program at the event and finished 14th at 85-over. Gannon's Rasmus Seppanen finished as runner-up in the tournament, trailing Davis & Elkins' Aidan Talent by just a single stroke.

ROUND TWO

ERIE, Pa. -
Gannon men's golf team took over first place after the second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship Atlantic/East Regional after shooting just a one-over-par to total 12-over for the tournament. The Golden Knights have a four-stroke lead over David & Elkins heading into the third round. The PSAC's California and Pitt-Johnstown also had solid performances on day two, vaulting into the top five on the team leaderboard: California is fourth at 27-over for the tournament, while UPJ is fifth at 28-over. IUP finds itself in 15th place at 49-over while Millersville rounds out the PSAC contingent in 17th place at 59-over.

Individually, Gannon's Rasmus Seppanen is one of only three players under par after the first two days (even par in round one and one-under in round two) -- and is two strokes behind current leader Aidan Talent of Davis & Elkins at three-under par.

ROUND ONE

ERIE, Pa. -
California and Gannon are tied for second place after the first round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship Atlantic/East Regional with scores of 11-over par. Both programs are chasing first-place Davis & Elkins, which has a five-stroke lead at six-under par entering round two. Other PSAC schools on the leaderboard include Pitt-Johnstown in seventh place at 17-over, IUP in 11th place at 24-over, and Millersville tied for 16th place at 35-over.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Five Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's golf programs have qualified for the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship regional tournaments, scheduled to take place on May 8-10. 80 total teams and 32 student-athletes competing as individuals have been selected to compete. The top five teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 19-23 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year’s head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by Palm Beach Atlantic and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.

In the Atlantic/East Region, the regional tournament will be held at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Erie, Pa. Charleston is the top-ranked team in the region, followed by the PSAC's Gannon (No. 2), IUP (No. 3), Pitt-Johnstown (No. 5), Millersville (No.6) and California (No. 7). Additionally, West Chester's Connor Strine qualified as an individual.
