QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 2:


WEST CHESTER: Redshirt Freshman kicker Rylan Zuk earned PSAC Eastern Division Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors after kicking three field goals (25, 32, 24 yards) and nailing all three extra points to finish with 12 points.

CALIFORNIA (Pa.): Following a Week 1 victory, 23-19 over Charleston, in a meeting of nationally-ranked teams, the California (PA) football team climbed four places to sit at No. 10 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 Poll. It is the first time since 2021 that Cal has moved into the Top 10. 

MILLERSVILLE: The Marauders are 5-3 all-time against current MEC member teams, including 4-0 against Glenville State.

BLOOMSBURG: Bloomsburg football opened its 2025 season with a dramatic and hard-fought 41–40 overtime loss to Fairmont State last Thursday night at Duvall-Rosier Field.

SETON HILL: Defensive back Darius Patterson was named the PSAC Western Division Co-Defensive Athlete of the Week after totaling two interceptions, including one that he ran back 74 yards for a touchdown to make it 35-14 with 9:34 left in the third quarter.

SHIPPENSBURG: Defensively, linebacker Nate Myers was all over the field with a game high and career-high 13 tackles – including a 13-yard sack and another tackle-for-loss.

CLARION: The offensive effort was highlighted by the Golden Eagles’ four rushing touchdowns and dominant ground game that accumulated 306 yards.

KUTZTOWN: Jaedyn Stewart amassed 197 yards of total offense, adding 47 receiving yards on a pair of catches to his career night on the ground.and received PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week.

EDINBORO: Jaret Frantz caught three touchdown passes to help the Edinboro football team to a 29-14 victory over host East Stroudsburg handing head coach Matt Scott his first win as the head coach of the Fighting Scots.

EAST STROUDSBURG: ESU forced three Pace turnovers, all fumbles, and limited the Setters to 67 yards rushing, 12-for-20 for 100 yards passing, and 11 first downs.

GANNON: The Golden Knights look to extend a streak of seven straight wins in Homecoming games dating back to the 2017 season.

LOCK HAVEN: Running back Damir Green ran for two scores with both touchdowns coming by way of remarkable individual efforts. 

IUP: Matthew Rueve threw the ball 23 times, completing 13 passes, averaging 17 yards each, and 221 yards in total.

SHEPHERD: Junior linebacker Devin Harper and senior defensive lineman Nathan Muhle each recorded eight tackles to lead the defense.

SLIPPERY ROCK: Last week’s win marked the16th consecutive win in a season opener for The Rock.
