LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Women's Volleyball Athletes of the Week honorees. In the West, Pitt-Johnstown's Ellie Zuro Cirino was selected as Athlete of the Week while Clarion's Haley Fledderjohann was named Defensive Athlete of the Week. In the East, Kutztown's Madilyn Bogovic (Athlete) and Shippensburg's Shay Kolivoski (Defensive) earned the honors.

In two matches, Zuro Cirino averaged 20.0 kills, 21.75 points, 8.5 digs, and 3.0 block assists per match. She had match-high 20 kills (.228 hit%), 21.0 points, 3 digs, 2 block assists in five-set win over IUP in Tuesday's PSAC West-opener in Sports Center and match-high 20 kills, 22.5 points, match-high .410 hit%, 1 ace, 14 digs, 3 block assists in 4-set win over East Stroudsburg Friday in Sports Center.

Fledderjohann was a defensive standout for the Golden Eagles last week as Clarion beat Slippery Rock and Shippensburg at home. The senior libero averaged 6.33 digs per set over the course of those two matches, racking up 31 digs against the Rock on Wednesday in five sets, and later 26 in four sets against Shippensburg.

Freshman outside hitter Madilyn Bogovic had a breakout week in leading Kutztown to a 2-1 record in three matches, both victories coming in straight sets. In the 3-0 win over Georgian Court last Thursday, Bogovic led the attack with 15 kills and added two digs and a service ace. In the 3-0 win against Lincoln on Saturday, Bogovic tallied seven kills, two aces and led the defense with eight digs. In the match with Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, Bogovic posted a season-best 25 digs to pace the offense and also had 15 digs for a double-double.

In a 1-1 PSAC Crossover weekend, Kolivoski had 25 digs in both of her matches - including a five-set comeback win at The Rock. Kolivoski surpassed the 1,000 career digs mark with the performance. She allowed only one reception error on 34 reception attempts while also handing out six assists. She continues to be the PSAC leader in digs per set, averaging 5.34 digs per set.
