LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Women's Volleyball Athletes of the Week honorees. In the West, Seton Hill's Catie Flohr (Athlete) and Clarion's Kalina Powell (Defensive) were recognized. In the East, Lock Haven's Natalie Gibson (Athlete of the Week) and Bloomsburg's Emily Gustie (Defensive Athlete of the Week) earned the honors.

Gibson orchestrated a highly efficient Lock Haven offense during a 2-0 week, leading the Bald Eagles to victories over Millersville and West Chester while totaling 78 assists, 17 digs, four service aces, and five kills.
Gibson was outstanding in a 3-0 sweep of Millersville, finishing with 31 assists, seven digs, three kills and an ace while hitting .429 herself. She followed with 47 assists, 10 digs and three aces in a thrilling five-set road victory over West Chester, helping the Bald Eagles rally from a 2-0 deficit to win the final three sets. Her setting helped Lock Haven hit .324 in the third set and an impressive .478 in the fourth during the comeback, helping Lock Haven improve to 11-5 overall and 4-1 in PSAC play.

Gustie helped the Bloomsburg volleyball team to a 1-1 week, including picking up the team's first conference win over Millersville. She recorded career-high dig totals on back-to-back nights, first with a 21-dig performance in four sets against Kutztown before tallying 23 in a five-set win over Millersville. Gustie averaged 4.89 digs per set and added 11 assists and two service aces to her weekend totals.

Flohr led the Griffins to a pair of PSAC West wins over the weekend as she finished the two matches with 55 kills. Catie hit .385 from the floor and had a career-high 33 kills in the four set win at California. She also added 23 digs, five blocks, and five aces on the week. Flohr posted a double-double of 33 kills and 15 digs in the win at Cal, and had 22 kills and eight digs against Pitt-Johnstown.

Powell was instrumental in the Golden Eagles' pair of wins last weekend, helping them to a 3-2 win over Gannon and a 3-1 win over Edinboro. The redshirt freshman libero averaged 4.89 digs per set, starting with an outstanding 28-dig effort in the win over the Golden Knights on Friday, helping to hold Gannon to a .114 attack percentage. In the win over the Fighting Scots on Saturday, she recorded 16 digs.
