QUICK HITS FOR PSAC TEAMS, WEEK 1:
CALIFORNIA (Pa.) - Junior running back Bobby Boyd, Jr. returns after receiving All-PSAC West FirstTeam honors in his first season as a starter. He nearly became the program’s first 1,000-yard rusher since 2019, as he finished with 938 rushing yards on almost 200 attempts.
CLARION: The Golden Eagles opened the 2025 season with a resounding shutout win at home, beating Wheeling 34-0.
BLOOMSBURG: The Huskies
look to build on that success and return standout All-PSAC East performer Jerry Griffen-Batchler to lead the offense.
IUP: Graduate quarterback transferring from Findlay, Matthew Rueve will make his first start with the Crimson Hawks.
KUTZTOWN: The back-to-back PSAC champion Golden Bears are looking to become the first team to win three consecutive titles since the PSAC Championship Game was reintroduced in 2008 and second all-time in a championship game format (Slippery Rock, 1972-74).
MILLERSVILLE: Back to lead the offense for the Marauders is junior quarterback Ryan Zeltt, who performed like one of the top players in the PSAC over the final five weeks of the season.
EAST STROUDSBURG: Quarterback Sean McTaggart returns to lead the ESU offense after a steady season opener, where he flashed glimpses of his dual-threat potential against Edinboro.
SLIPPERY ROCK: The season opener at Franklin Pierce will mark the first time Slippery Rock has played a game in the state of New Hampshire.
WEST CHESTER: Defensively, West Chester returns Don Hansen FB Gazette honorable mention All-America LB Connor Noble, who recorded 117 tackles last fall.
SETON HILL: Seton Hill kicked off their 2025 season with a home contest with Fairmont State last Thursday at Offutt Field in Greensburg, PA.
