LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has announced the women’s basketball athletes of the week. In the East, Lock Haven's Jenadia Jordan and Kutztown's Ariana Smuda were selected. In the West, IUP's Nyshae' Weaver and Edinboro's Taylor Blunt earned the honor.

Jenadia Jordan had a historic week for the Bald Eagles, totaling 22 points, 21 assists, 16 rebounds, eight steals and two blocked shots in two dominant victories. Jordan posted the first triple-double in program history with 10 points, 10 assists and 11 rebounds while also gathering three steals in a 79-48 win over Millersville. On Tuesday, Jordan scored 12 points, dished out 11 assists, claimed five steals and had five rebounds in a 91-41 win over Mansfield.
Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week

In three games last week, all victories, Kutztown junior center Ariana Smuda averaged nine points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game and 2.3 blocks per game in 24 minutes of action per game. KU was the only PSAC East team to go 3-0 last week and held its opponents to just 44.6 ppg. In a win at West Chester last Tuesday night, Smuda finished with six points, seven rebounds and a career-high four blocks in just 20 minutes. In a victory at Shippensburg Thursday, Smuda tallied eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals. Last Saturday's win at home against Bloomsburg saw Smuda record her second double-double of the season, tying a season-best with 13 points and adding a career-high 11 rebounds with a block and an assist. Smuda is tied for second in the PSAC with 1.8 blocks per game. Her 28 total blocks ranks third.

Weaver averaged 20 points per game over two games for the undefeated IUP Crimson Hawks, including a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double against the No. 5 team in the country, the Gannon Golden Knights. Weaver shot 83 percent from the floor for the week, continuing to lead the country in field goal percentage at .713. She also had four steals and four assists for the week.

Blunt was strong at both ends of the floor for the Fighting Scots in a pair of PSAC wins over Pitt Johnstown and Cal. She averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per contest on the week. Against UPJ, she scored 15 points while grabbing five rebounds and three steals. In the Scots win over Cal she tallied 19 points, four steals, four rebounds and a blocked shot.
