LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced its Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week. In the West, Slippery Rock's Alissia Kivi earned the honor. There is no East honoree this week due to lack of matches played.

Reigning PSAC West Freshman – and ITA Atlantic Region – Freshman of the Year Alissia Kivi is off to a great start in her sophomore campaign, holding a near perfect 10-1 overall singles record (1-0 dual) and is ranked 46th in the ITA’s national singles rankings. She also comprises one half of the nation’s 12th-ranked doubles team with partner Nicole Kempton. Highlights for Kivi so far this season is partnering with Kempton in the fall to win the ITA Atlantic Region doubles title which qualified the duo for the prestigious ITA Cup. She also advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Atlantic Region singles championship bracket. In The Rock’s lone dual match this season – a 7-0 team victory over Frostburg State - Kivi won her second-flight singles match by way of a 6-0, 6-0 shutout.
