Wozniak was the only track & field athlete in the PSAC to improve on a No. 1 mark in the conference last week when he recorded a career-best throw of 52.27 meters in the discus at the Ashland Alumni Open. That effort placed him fourth overall, but first among Division II athletes in the invite section of the event. That throw improved on his season best and still sees him as the only athlete in the PSAC with an NCAA mark in the discus. He also recorded an NCAA provisional mark of 17.41 meters in the shot put at Ashland, which was third overall and first among all collegiate athletes competing. The event was won by World Indoor silver medalist Jordan Geist, assistant coach at SRU and one of the top throwers in the world.
