LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced the 2026 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Major Award winners on Thursday afternoon.
The awards are determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches. The top three finishers in each event at the 2026 PSAC Outdoor Championships are recognized as all-conference performers. Find complete results here.
Track Athlete of the Year – Loreena Manser, California
Field Athlete of the Year – Shannon Harnett, East Stroudsburg
Freshman of the Year – Cassie Nugin, West Chester
Coaching Staff of the Year – Slippery Rock
California’s Loreena Manser was voted Track Athlete of the Year after finishing as PSAC Champion in the 100m, 200m, long jump, and 4x400m relay. This performance earned Manser the 2026 PSAC Championship Most Outstanding Track Athlete and Overall MVP awards. She earned NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the 200m and long jump.
East Stroudsburg’s Shannon Harnett was selected as Field Athlete of the Year. At the 2026 NCAA Championship, Harnett finished sixth in the high jump (First Team All-America) and 17
th in the triple jump (Honorable Mention). She finished the season ranked first in the triple jump, second in the high jump, and ninth in the long jump in the Atlantic region.
West Chester’s Cassie Nugin collects the Freshman of the Year honor after earning two PSAC titles in the 800m and 1500m at this year’s championship. Nugin’s season best in both events rank her second in the conference.
The Slippery Rock coaching staff was honored with the Women’s Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year award for the second consecutive season. The Rock women earned their 19
th PSAC title in program history (and third in the last four years), finishing with 146.5 points, which was 40 points ahead of second place. Head coach Bill Jordan also was named Atlantic Region Coach of the Year by USTFCCA.
